The Paths of China 我的中国路

2019-04-09   阅读:  552  作者:KEVIN KEPPLE

China is a country of rich history and tradition. I have walked many paths during my time is this wonderful land. These paths have not only been in the physical world, but also emotionally and spiritually. Climbing Mt. Wugong was one of the most challenging things I have ever done. A grueling three-day hike across steep, rocky terrain and a beating sun. I didn’t think I would make it, but the Chinese people I met along the way made it so much easier. They offered water, food and encouragement. They would say, “You’re almost there! Keep going!” The image of the Wugong Trail will forever stick in my mind. It shows the challenges ahead, but also teaches us to be present in the moment. Enjoy where you are at and look forward to the beauty that is possible with positive thinking. This rings true with China today as it continues to amaze me with its beauty, but the push forward to new and better ways of life for the people is a fantastic triumph. Focus on the on the future by remembering how far you’ve come already.
