A city is not only composed of its buildings and roads but also the people who live in it. After a certain time we develop a memory of not only the places we visit but also different people we meet and interact with.
My first few months in Hangzhou were not easy, as both the city and its people were new to me. Slowly, I got acquainted with both and it became a lot easier.
This photograph is a portrait of my friend. She had invited me to her house after we had lunch. Sunlight falling on her after being diffused by the curtain looked nice against the dark background and I decided to take a photograph.
